The Fine Print
•In order to be eligible to apply for Speakers Bureau funding, the organization must have at least one (1) representative attend one (1) of the available info. sessions. If none of those times work for the organization, please contact the Speakers Bureau Chair to set up an alternate meeting time.
•Only registered student organizations of the University may apply for funding.
•The organization may apply for a maximum of two (2) speakers.
•Only honorarium may be paid for with Speakers Bureau funds. All travel costs must be included in the honorarium. Speakers Bureau cannot pay for hotel accommodations, food, airfare, or any other travel expense unless it is factored into the overall honorarium.
•Speakers Bureau automatically becomes a co-sponsor of any event it funds and its name and logo must be included on all publicity.
•Speakers Bureau, at it discretion, will provide guidance, funds, and miscellaneous assistance, but the primary execution and publicity of the event is the responsibility of the organization.
•Future requests will be considered in light of previously funded events.
•If bringing in a non-U.S. Citizen speaker, please notify the Speakers Bureau Chair to discuss the process prior to the funding interview.
•NOTE: If allocated funding, the organization is required to provide the signed Speakers Bureau Contract to Nicole Pharaoh in the UOSA Office no later than six (6) weeks prior to the date of the event. Failure to do so will result in the loss of Speakers Bureau funding for said event. Additionally, the balance of funds for the event must be secured by the organization for its portion of the honorarium six (6) weeks prior to the date of the event.
